What If Quality Relationships Played The Biggest Factor In Your Quality Of Life!

Nov 30, -0001

Do you have people in your life that constantly bring you down? Do you have enough people in your life to lift you up? What a 75 Harvard Study about that? In my book, SHRINK, there is an entire chapter on deciding who you will surround yourself with.  The people you surround yourself with makes a huge difference when it comes to your well-being and meeting your own personal goals. Think of the 5-10 people that you interact with the most every week.

Do they have similar values to you? Do they care about you unconditionally? Are they overly invested in you being successful or unsuccessful? Do you start to question yourself when you are around them? Are they threatened when you start to thrive? If your beliefs or values are not very similar, are they still respectful and supportive of your own values and goals? Make conscious decisions about who you will interact with closely in your life.

Keep those same people in mind and take note of their attitudes, beliefs, habits, and decisions regarding how they live. Are they living a life that is congruent with your values and goals? If not, are they actively working to make their lives better? It is ok to help people and be on a journey together. Just remember that the habits, attitudes, and overall lifestyle of those we are closest to greatly influence us and can propel us towards our goals faster or hold us back.

No matter how strong you think you are, those we are closest to greatly influence our lives. They influence what we talk about, think about, what we spend our time doing, eating habits, and even how we feel about ourselves.
